Students at Dixon Wilson prepare for examinations with leading firms of commercial tutors, who provide a comprehensive programme of training, that is designed to enable students to pass the examinations first time.

Dixon Wilson uses an end-loaded training programme. This involves initial tuition, followed by knowledge papers (e-assessments), which are set and marked by the Institute. Once the knowledge element has been passed, a further intensive course is provided before the examinations to consolidate what has been learned and to cover the remainder of the syllabus. This is followed by supervised revision.

The amount of home study to be done should not be underestimated, especially as it is undertaken after a full day’s work. However, assistance and encouragement is always available in the office, when required.

In-house training sessions, designed to help students in their professional work, are also provided, presented by members of staff and by specialist tutors.
