Your trainingExamination subjects

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales requires students to undertake two levels of formal examinations, Professional Stage and Advanced Stage. In addition, there are two devolved assessments.



There are six examinations. The subjects are:
  • Accounting
  • Audit and assurance
  • Business finance
  • Business management
  • Financial reporting
  • Taxation

 For students joining in September, Dixon Wilson requires students to take two of the six examinations in the following December, two in the following June and two in December of the 2nd year.

For students joining in March, students take two examinations in the following June, two in March of the 2nd year and two in September of the 2nd year.
