Dixon Wilson delivers audit, accountancy and advisory expertise to the charity and not for profit sector. We enable our clients to maximise their returns and minimise their expenditure. We act for a wide variety of charitable companies and trusts.
We advise a wide range of charities and not for profit organisations. They might not have the resources to deal with most tax and accounting matters in-house. For many charities, we provide audit services and act as a useful sounding board when needed.
We are well versed in dealing with legislation, the current version of the Charity Commission’s Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) and other guidance relating specifically to charities’ financial statements.
Many of Dixon Wilson’s private clients have established charitable trusts to support their philanthropic objectives. We advise on the formation and funding of these charities and provide a tailored service during the lifetime of the trusts, from advice on structures to acting as a professional trustee. We work closely with the charity’s trustees, including advising on their responsibilities and, on occasion, we act as professional trustees. We assist with accounting matters, and advise on how to make the best use of the various tax exemptions available to charities.
