
David Gough
David has over 15 years of experience advising families, their trusts and their businesses on all their tax affairs.
David joined Dixon Wilson in June 2013 to assist with the firm’s private client tax practice after qualifying as Chartered tax advisor in 2009.
David is familiar with all aspects of UK tax. One particular area of expertise is assisting individuals on international tax matters such as residency and domicile aspects of their affairs. This can range from pre-arrival planning, minimising exposure to UK taxation and advising clients on the practical aspects of the statutory residency test.
David also assists small and medium enterprises with venture capital schemes such as SEIS/EIS and tax advantaged share schemes (EMI and CSOP). This includes advising them of the common pitfalls of implementing such schemes and the associated compliance processes.
David has significant expertise in handling HMRC enquiries on a wide range of aspects for individuals, trusts and partnerships.
David has built strong relationships with his clients over the years aiming the advice provided to achieve the client’s objectives.
