The partners of Dixon Wilson are delighted to announce that Francis Kershaw will be joining the partnership with effect from 1 October 2022. Francis joined the firm in 2018, having initially trained at PWC. His work focuses on advising high net worth individuals and trustees, with a particular emphasis on international aspects of UK taxation and regularly advises on matters including tax residence, domicile and the remittance basis of taxation. This frequently involves advice with respect to remittance planning for UK expenditure and investment, and the UK tax treatment of offshore investment holding structures and the reliefs available under Double Tax Treaties. Francis also regularly acts for clients whose tax affairs are subject to HMRC enquiry. His pragmatic approach to negotiations with HMRC has enabled him to develop a strong track record in successfully resolving such enquiries on the best possible terms for the taxpayer.
