On 16 November 2017 Dixon Wilson hosted a bake sale and raised £791.10 for Macmillan Cancer Support. An incredulous amount of effort went into baking enough sweet and savoury treats that could feed a ravenous workforce for days. Dixon Wilson’s in-house chef, Margaret, was selected to judge the highly impressive bake-off between teams. Matthew Hattersley triumphed in both the “Biggest bake” and “Guess the height of the cake tower” competitions and Oliver Jackson took home a prize for his delicious cheese and chorizo muffins. Together their creations fended off some show-stopping rival entries to earn the overall coveted title of “Best Bakers” for their team.
